Can the Retro Process Flag be updated on a reversed paycheck?

In 9.2 we have a potential situation being questioned by the user.  When a paycheck which has a retro payment is reversed in the system, the retro process flag is set to Paycheck Reversed.  I'm assuming unless the status is Calculated, this retro won't be paid to the employee in a subsequent pay run.  I tried to use the Change Retro Pay Process Flag to calculated for the Retro sequence, but that didn't work.  Can you tell me what the flag of Paycheck Reverse means for the request and is there a way to get it to pay the employee.
