Request date becomes null after ship-to or bill-to locations are updated

On SO Header, not sure why but any change to bill/ship-to value, updates the request date to null. there are no personalizations & even the seeded sysdate defaulting rule is disabled for the request date field.

Any pointers in this direction are helpful to resolve this.
