AME Journal Approval

Why cant we change the profile option "GL: Use Approval Management (AME) for journal approval" to make it updatable at the responsibility level ?

This is possible but not supported; if this is officially allowed, it helps 'existing responsibilities mapped to ledgers' continue with traditional supervisory hierarchy with approval limits while enabling 'other responsibilities mapped to other ledgers' explore the AME approval.
