Issue parts via Barcode scanner in Windows 10 tablet

Is it is possible to Issue parts via Barcode scanner in a tablet running windows operating system? If yes can you please share any documents/setup required? We have Barcode in the work order print. All our spare parts are barcoded as well.  We would like to use our windows tablet and issue parts by scanning WO and parts when working on the maintenance work bench. Thanks
