BI Publisher & oracle e-business suite (EBS) variable sql

Hello,

i am relatively new to OBIEE, and finished the training, however none of the training materials covered my below question.

My BI publisher is to be the reporting tool of our oracle e-business suite (EBS) and oracle ADF forms.

After having created the data models for the reports and the layouts, there is no issue if the report is a static report, since we can call the report from its location.\

However , what about if EBS or AFD wanted to get report results on specific criteria. Example: get employee details where employee name ='Jhon' and age =25

can anyone explain how the sending of these conditions is done between ADF / EBS and BI Publisher and how the return is done.
