Upgrade of Window Server of Siebel Document Server

Hello Oracle Support,

Currently, we are using Siebel Sales Automotive version 8.1.1.6 where Siebel Web and Enterprise Servers are hosted on AIX platform and Document Server are hosted on Windows 2008 R2 Standard Edition along with Oracle 11g Database.

Requirement is to upgrade the Windows version of Document server in order to generate the higher version of Word document in proposal templates.

Can you please help us to know the compatibility of Higher Windows OS server then current one with our Siebel version?

Is it possible to upgrade the Document server only without upgrading the Siebel servers? If not , why?
