Unable to update Actual Times and Percentage Completes in EPPM 18.8 Web Services

I have been trying to update Actual times and Percentage completes using Web Services in Primavera EPPM 18.8. I am not being able to update percent completes for any of the started activities and I am also not being able to update Actual Finish when I am updating Actual Start along with it.

I have received an xml response after trying to update the activities. It shows that the update was successful and it even displays the correct updateActivity query made by the user.  There has also been no error thrown this far.
