How to do mapping between Item instance and Asset

Hi Team,

Version :R12.2.6

Issue: Mapping is disconnected between Item instance and Asset after done the asset retirement process.

Now business has reinstated the same asset and checked , mapping was disconnected.

Please let us know , how to find out the item instance details and do mapping with existing assets..
