Forms 12c WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT length issue when running with Java Web Start

Does Forms 12c WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT have a length issue when running with Java Web Start ?
It seems like I can only open URLs of less than about 200 chars. If it's longer it's simply skipped
It works fine when running i applet mode

Is this a know issue/limitation? (I can't find it on Oracle support)
