Siebel 8.1 client requesting FTP directly instead via App server

We are using Siebel 8.1 and there we are directly using an FTP request in the download button (using iFrame) from the client. But to accomplish this, we need to provide FTP access to hundreds of systems. Can this be achieved though any component of Siebel?

In short, current configuration is Client <-> FTP server and we need Client <-> App Server <-> FTP Server.
