Has anyone changed the MTU size on an ODA-X6 Appliance ?

We have a number of ODA X6-2L servers that backup to a CIFS share ( presented from a StoreOnce backup appliance).

Initial performance was great (300MB/Sec) however we have seen backup performance deteriorate significantly over past 6 months.

Our network/storeonce support team suggest we try setting up jumbo frames and I wondered if anyone had done this on the X6 platform ?

The backups go via the public interface that uses the sfpbond1 fibre adapters.

Any thoughts or advice appreciated.
