BI Publisher not allowing Manual Date entry in 12.2 in Input Parameter

On our latest upgrade we are facing issue in entering the Date Parameter as Input . This errors out as "Invalid Date Format" or "Entered Date is beyond the Date Range,please enter a date between null and null".
