What is the correct date to be used for Reversal?

Our client is facing reconciliation issues with the Reversal.

They have following question:

1. What dates to be used to reverse a check from a previous pay Period?

2. What dates to be used to reverse a check from 6 months ago?

3. What dates to be used for reversal for previous year, when fund is available current year

4. What dates to be used for reversal for previous year, when fund is not available current year

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
