Net1 and Net2 Ports - ODA- X7 2S/2M

Hi

We have a quick question on the cabling part of the X7-2M/2S ODA models

There are 2 ports Net1 and Net 2 and of course the ILOM port (NET MGT)

We connected the ILOM port to the management network and Net1 port to the LAN and things are working fine

Ours is a Bare Metal Setup

We have not used or connected the Net2 port at all

We are wondering that what the Net2 port is for and what is the best practices / recommendation from oracle on how to use that port especially in a production environment?

Are we losing some benefits in not using that port?
