DEPLOY AND INDEX ELASTICSEARCH

Hello community, I am a little confused because I saw a document that says this:

-We advise that you do not use the plugin to execute all your search definitions at once. We advise that you only INDEX (== crawl/build) only the search definitions that you will be using.
-In order to trigger the build/crawl process, you need to modify the “env.ptsf_admin_operations” to be {INDEX} only.

So could I use the both option what are they impacts? is good or no? Can I deploy and index at the same time?
