12c : Rman performance issue

Hello,

We have a 12.1.0.2 database running on Solaris 10.    The database size is 1.6 TB  .    We do  weekly Rman hotbackups.     The backup takes around 13 hours to complete.     Can you let me know, how to resolve the performance issue?   I think 13 hours is excessive and want to reduce the time
