ioReset Data Entry for read-only fields on workflow BPs not working.

Situation was that the user performed copy operation for a workflow BP. However, there are fields which should not be populated during copy operation. As a proposed fix, we tried to set the field to reset - editable and put it in hidden block. This is working in Unifier version 16. Unfortunately, we tried the same change in Unifier version 18 but the fields in hidden block are automatically converted to read-only even though the data element has a reset data entry. Is there a way to reset these fields without being shown in the upper form?
