Get Agile User ID from URL PX kicked-off from Tools menu

We are creating a URL based process extension (PX) that will open an external webpage which will be kicked-off from the Tools menu.  Unfortunately, given the Tools menu is used, no Agile parameters are appended to the HTTP request (per Agile SDK Dev guide).  We currently have other URL based PXs that provide this, but are kicked-off from an Actions menu.  Is there an alternative way to identify the username from a URL based PX kicked-off from the Tools menu?
