Number payments and Number of Computer Interim Checks not reset in the interim workbench

We have a recurrent problem with the interim workbench where after processing an interim the number of payments and the number of computer interim checks is not reset. First, I would like to understand why is this happening and then how to clear the fields. I have tried to use the reset functions in the row menu but I have not been able to clear the fields.
