Safety Stock: Can we update Safety stock along with Effectivity date?

Hi Team,

We are in 11i EBS. We have observed that users are editing Safety stock values for items without changing the Effectivity date.

Ideally, users must be loading Safety stock using a custom process to make changes. Alternatively, they are able to login to the Front End and edit the Safety Stock value while Effectivity date is READ ONLY field.

Can we control this behaviour so that both Effectivity date and Safety stock can be updated if needed from the Front End?
