Cost not updated in Item ledger by sales update report while releasing inventory

Hi All,

  • I am on JDE 9.1
  • For sales transactions , inventory is set to be released at shipment confirmation and setup exists in 40/IU
  • However , in some of the transactions reported by business , shipment confirmation step was bypassed.
  • After pick slip , invoice was generated and then inventory was released by sales update report
  • But , in all such cases , unit cost and extended cost were not populated in item ledger. However , GL has generated correct entries.
  • Common to all these scenarios is the fact that there were lines in order detail that were already processed till sales update where inventory was released at shipment confirmation.
