Grace days

We have set up grace days of 10 days on the AR auto receipts in jde 9.1. We see that the system allowed discount up until 11th day after discount due date. For example the discount due date is 2/28. We processed receipt on 3/11 which is 11 day after discount due date and the system still allowed discount. Is this how system works?
