SO created from SQ which was created from Opportunity doesn't have Opportunity id on SO- should it?

I want the Opportunity id on the SO not just the SQ the SO was generated from.  I'm not getting the Opp id on the SO.  Should I?  Am I missing some setup to get Opportunity Id from Quote onto Sales Order?
