Is it recommended to Re-classify Items as Expense & Inventory/Asset

Hi Experts,

We have done Implementation  in Yr-2017 & Project is running for the Past 2 Yrs.

Now most of the Items has 4 way Matching where Inspection is being done.

Now Can Client wants to Re-classify all the Items as expense/ Inventory .

Does it has any Impact if we classify the Items.

What are Precautions which we need to take before doing so.

Please Advise
