Data only partially clears in ASO when launching Map Reporting Application in Planning

Data only partially clears in ASO when launching Map Reporting Application in Planning.  I always check the box "clear data on destination".  I have been using the following MERGE SLICE commands for almost a year successfully: "AUTOMERGE SELECTIVE" and "AUTOMERGEMAXSLICENUMBER 1".  I suspect I have run into an issue with these Slice Merges, and specific slices not being cleared when executing these Map Reporting Applications.  How can I know which Slices are being targeted?  And/Or, do I need to update my settings and/or add anything new?  "Orphaned Data" is being left behind and thus impacting reporting.  Version 11.1.2.4, Linux OS
