Is AP_CHECKS_ALL.CURRENCY_CODE obsolete?

We are on EBS 12.2.5.  I saw a post on MOS community that listed obsolete columns in AP_CHECKS_ALL and it included CURRENCY_CODE. However, when I look at the source for the view APP.AP_DOCUMENTS_PAYABLE, it looks like that view is still using AP_CHECKS_ALL.CURRENCY_CODE.

Is AP_CHECKS_ALL.CURRENCY_CODE obsolete?  If so, what table/view contains the payment currency_code?

Where can I find Oracle "official" documentation on what table changes have been made in R12.2.5?
