Work Order Cancellation

Team ,

I would like to know  - How standard Work Order Cancellation works?

Example - I am into Application P12072 and for one of the unit work order is at 50 status (MA). So when i make to MM-cancel work order - then will always setup PM Grid to 01 with Blank WONA ( Assigned Work Order).

I found few case where to move the PM Grid to 01 and WONA Blank .

Canceled to

I found once case where PM Stays in 98 only with WOMA.

Why it is so ?
