how to pass the parameter values for New custom Pick slip report which is part of a document set

Hi Exprets I have a requirement to develop a new custom picking slip report and need to add it to a new document set. now i have a question that how the report can receive the parameter values or how the system will pass the values for the new custom picking slip report. Thanks in Advance.
