Lot controlled item with receipt routing

Trying to set up lot control for some perishable items. When the item has a route code there is no hard stop of lot expiration date at movement into stock step in receipt routing.  If you go into multiple locations (4) you can see the dates but not populating these dates the system defaults in today's date, not the true expiration date.  With an item without a route code, the receipt does have a hard stop and you must populate a date.
