odacli clone-database with oakcli created databases

Can we use the odacli clone-database command to create a snapshot database when the source is a database created using the oakcli tool stack, prior to ODA 18.3 patch installation? Or should the clone-database command only be used on databases that were created with the odacli create-database command and using the new locations for datafiles, redo, and fra i.e., /u02/app/oracle/oradata/<DBNAME>, /u03/app/oracle, /u04/app/oracle/redo?

In my use case the source data file location will be /u02/app/oracle/oradata/datastore/.ACFS/snaps/<SOURCE_DBNAME>
