Rubrik Backup with RMAN and Oracle Support

Hi all,

My customer has implemented a new backup tool (Rubrik) which is not Oracle Product.

This tool uses API to call RMAN and doesn’t required any
manual intervention.

The customer has the questions below:

1. Oracle support after Rubrik
backup tool deployed and configured?

My thought is Oracle will support only from Oracle Product (RMAN and DB)

So the customer will need to take responsibility for Rubric and for Oracle, the support will be from RMAN and DB.

2. What level of support we can expect in term of restore and recovery if rubrik is implemented?

My thought is that the support from Oracle is only from RMAN and DB.  Not at Rubrik, which would need to be Customer's responsibility.
