Migration from X3 to X6

Hello All,

we have a project to migrate almost 3 dozen production databases sized around 400 TB overall database size to migrate from an existing 4-node X3 to 4 node X6 exadata machine, the machines are located in the same datacenter and in less than 10 meters across.

we are considering following option, please advice if there are any such use cases and/or if any documents available in the MOS.

1) Add X3 cluster to the X6 cluster(same patch level as X3 all homes GI/DB Home across version)

2) Add the X6 storage to the existing disk groups in X3 and allow the rebalance to complete successfully
