config standalone grid 12.1 after software only install

Hi, What's the best way to configure standalone grid infrastructure 12.1 after a software only install? I have already installed Grid, but not yet configured it. I created a response file and tried running config.sh in silent mode but it gave me error of

[FATAL][INS-42023] Invalid option specified for Oracle Grid Infrastructure Wizard. CAUSE: The Oracle Grid Infrastructure Wizard only supports Configuring Oracle Grid Infrastructure for a cluster or Upgrading an existing Grid Infrastructure. ACTION: Ensure that you select one of the supported options.

It looks like config.sh doesn't support configuring standalone Grid Infrastructure. Is there some other tool I'm supposed to use or method to do this? Thanks
