value set length

Hello

Can we increase the maximum size from say 4 to 5 characters of the value set underlying one of the key accounting flexfield segments   without impacting anything?

Having 2 structures under key flexfiled segment.

Having two flex filed segments Future -1 and Future -2.

Future1 has been used in one of the structure. Can we changed the length of used future1 segment?  We are going for Go live .
