Hi,

In Oracle 9i (9.2.0.1)

If say I would like to do a Test, shutdown the production, switch application to DRC, Can I open the physical standby in R/W mode (even if I don't do any DML)?

After this I want to get back to managed recovery and bring back the production to normal.

If I do a switchover, I can open the standby in R/W mode and continue my transactions.
