SIP-Port / Steering Pool address outside Network-Interface sub-net.
Due to access network configuration we need to define a SIP-Interface/SIP-Port address and a Steering-Pool address outside the sub-net configured on the access realm network-interface. The SBC accepts the configuration with just a warning. The first tests we made seems ok. SBC is listening on the SIP-Port address and responds to the received SIP messages.
Are there any potential issues of such a configuration or is it a proven configuration we can implement without any risk ?
Thank you for your advises.
