Configuring and Using Weblogic Diagnostic Framework for Monitoring

It looks like there is a Weblogic Diagnostic Framework that can be used for monitoring.  Can you recommend any resources for setting it up and using the WLDF in an Oracle EBS 12.2.5 environment? I would like to monitor for down managed servers and also monitor performance. I am trying to understand what and how it can be leveraged in an EBS environment and what benefit can be achieved by setting it up.....and how to set it up for an EBS environment.
