Inventory Organization - Can lot be pre-allocated but confirmation be required in transact move orde

We have an inventory organization. Sales order picking will be done manually using pick slips, with pick confirmation done on the transact move order screen.

We know that you can release with auto allocation set to no. However, when this is done no lot is allocated to the order.

What we want to know is, is it possible to release sales orders with auto allocation set to Yes, but then the lot which has been allocated must be confirmed on the transact move order screen? So the lot is allocated, but has to be confirmed before pick confirm can be completed on the transact move order screen
