Browser Script Alert method not working in Open UI for WF Stop Step

Dear SME's,

i recently moved my Siebel 8.1.1.10 application from HI to Open UI.

We are triggering the Workflow from the Siebel Applet browser Script and displaying the error if any through the alert method.

For Hi it throwing the Stop Step Custom Errors as expected ,But in Open UI it displaying as the error as 'Undefined'

Kindly let me know ,why Stop step is not able to throw the Error Message same as HI from Browser Scripts.
