Changed Admin Password in Hyperion Planning 11.1.2 and Can't Revert Back

I inadvertently changed the password and did not know what it originally was. This has caused and error when trying to refresh the database with "Unable to connect to Hyperion Essbase. Verify that Hyperion Essbase is running and check your network connections."

After some sleuthing, i was able to find what the original password was by going to the Dev server and inspecting the web element. 

However, when I go to change it back, I now get this error;

"EPMCss-05316: Failed to update Native user. Updated user information is identical to the existing one. Verify the changes"

Further, when I go and try to log in to the Dev server with the password I uncovered, it doesnt work either.
