Periodic Mass Copy Still Showing Closed Period After Running PMC and then Final Depreciation

I'm trying to get some clarity around Periodic Mass Copy in Oracle 12.1.3. Our Tax Book accountant has run PMC for a period, then run all the necessary jobs in the tax book, culminating with Run Depreciation with the Close Book checkbox checked. The book controls for the tax book show that the current period in the book is the next period. However, when the accountant goes to run Periodic Mass Copy for that new period, they not only see the current period in the select list, the previous period (now a closed period) is still showing in the list
