Best Approach for Tools/Apps Upgrade

Hi,

We are planning for a Application upgrade.

App - 9.1 Update 2

Tools - 9.1.3

OS- Solaris 10.5

DB = Oracle 11.2

In context to this what approach will be best to take for the upgrade:

1. Upgrade tools to 9.1.5.x and above then application upgrade with tools 9.2.0.x and then tools upgrade to 9.2.2x

2. Or Directly application upgrade with tools 9.2.2.x

Please advise.
