Oracle User/Shadow process threads

Hi,

Our Solaris 10 Oracle 11.2.0.4.0 server went out of thread memory due to the limitations described in

How to Resolve "fork: Resource temporarily unavailable" or "svc.startd: Could not create thread" Issues(Doc ID 1266839.1)

We had ~7000 Oracle sessions and ~65000 LWPS. Below is the output of a ps done on the system.

My questions are : Why are some Oracle User/Shadow processes using 1 thread (NLWP column) and others 11 threads or more ?

Is there any way to set or limit the number of threads of an Oracle User/Shadow process ?

USER   PID  PPID NLWP %CPU %MEM       VSZ       RSS    STIME     ELAPSED        TIME COMMAND

  oracle 16572     1

Howdy, Stranger!
