Item cost not updating regular;y.i

Hello,

In a OPM enabled organization, it was noted, cost for ceratin items are not updated regularly. For some months cost is updated for same item and for some months cost is not updated for same item.

PMAC is the cost method used.

Can someone suggest what is the reason behind this?
