DataGuard Setup Fails After New RAC Node Added

I am having a bit of trouble restarting my DataGuard configuration after a new node was added to the cluster.

The steps to configure the DataGuard setup worked fine when the RAC was 2 nodes, once a new node was added it cannot start.

We added the new logfile thread for the new node.

Recovery completes with no issues, but when we get to the point to restart the database we get the following:

SQL> ALTER DATABASE OPEN READ ONLY;

ALTER DATABASE OPEN READ ONLY

*

ERROR at line 1:

ORA-10458: standby database requires recovery

ORA-01152: file 1 was not restored from a sufficiently old backup
