Sequencial Delivery Id Depending on the Sales Order type

I would like to control the delivery name depending on the sales order type when I made the ship confirm.

It must be sequencial numbering and it will change every year.

For example:

Order Type A - 19000XX

Order Type B - 19100XX

Next year it will be:

Order Type A - 20000XX

Order Type B - 20100XX

Is there any standard funcionality to made it?

I suppose It doen't exists.

Is there an API to develop it?
