Oracle Integrated SOA Gateway Authentication

Hi,

Does the Integrated SOA Gateway REST service support any other type of authentication aside from basic authentication? I understand that we can use token based but this will be after using the basic authentication first.

Unfortunately our client does not like the idea of sending password in clear text even if we have SSL and HTTPS setup.
