solaris 11 zfs pool destroy / recovery

hi  - I did a zfs destroy pool   and  reallocated  it using zfs   -    I  want to recover data off this pool  - is it possible to get the disk back In zfs   -  I tried zpool import -D   but this  pool does not show up as destroyed . plse help
