How is the historical rate calculated?

edited Apr 19, 2019 12:18PM in Financial - JDE1 (MOSC) 2 commentsAnswered ✓

Can anyone clarify the specific calculation when using the Rate Type of H (Historical) and the Calculation Method of 1 (Balances) and the Rate Type of H and Calculation Method of 0 (Period Calculations)?  Just want to make sure I am clear before utilzing...

How does this differ from the use of Rate Type M (Month-end Balance Sheet) for either calculation method?

I have already read doc id 1481550.1 as well as a plethora of other Oracle documents but still don’t see how the historical rate is calculated.

The system uses "Rate Types" to determine which exchange rate to use when it calculates new balances.

Howdy, Stranger!
