R12.2.5 Order Management integration with EBTax using Sabrix Tax Engine

We are currently on R12.2.5 using the OM and EBtax products but have a hosted (cloud) based Sabrix Tax Engine implementation.  Does anyone have experience or knowledge on how to handling exception handling if Sabrix Engine is down or calls to the engine are not reached, thus OM events that are triggered for tax calls return errors--when Oracle passes control to ONESOURCE Oracle R12 Integration for OM and AR.  The biggest issue is when calling Ship Confirm using ITS---causing workflow calls corrupt, requiring data fixes and interface calls to OM, INV and AR fail. 

Sabrix is an Oracle partner and the OM product should have handling for these failed calls, but I haven't been successful in obtaining any help with this.  OEXUTAXB.pls is the package within OM that calls the EBTax engine.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
